Week 4: Shoulder Rehab with Priska Hoving
Time & Date: 2 April, at 9:00am
The Menopause Shoulder - yes, it is a thing!
Shoulder pain is one of the most common complaints that physiotherapists see in women, in fact in Japan it is so common it is known as the 50’s shoulder.
Whether the pain stems from repetitive movements, a strong dog that pulls on the leash, the decline in Oestrogen or a combination of all three - knowing what to do to help yourself is important.
We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer you a 6 week Shoulder Rehabilitation group programme delivered by our physiotherapist Priska Hoving.
Who is this for?
This programme is suitable if :
- REDUCING pain or lack of movement. If you struggle doing up your bra, taking your hands overhead, drying your hair this will help.
- IMPROVING the strength of your shoulders to reduce the chance of future injury.
Who is this NOT for?
This is NOT suitable if you have been recently diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder and are under the care of a physio or a physician.
The programme includes 6 sessions over 8 weeks. You will attend 2 sessions and then have a week to practise some exercises. Then attend another two sessions and another week to practise and then a final two weeks.
To get the most from this programme it is strongly suggested that you attend as many of the sessions as possible live - although the sessions will be available on catch up.
